My Denmark Diary!

Such a cute baby eating a carrot, right?
The reason I put this picture on my blog is because SOOO soo many people eat carrots here! When I first saw someone eating it as a whole,I thought hmm. But then I saw that everyone does it!
Everyone seems to be very healthy here which also ties in with my last post about Fitness World!

Studying abroad at Aarhus University was the best decision I made in my life.

Coming in for the win at the second best decision would be joining Fitness World! is the biggest gym in Denmark and let me say it is the most amazing biggest gym I have ever seen! The middle picture is the Fitness world three minutes from my housing!

I was always into working out but after joining this gym and living in Aarhus for a few months, I AM IN LOVE WITH WORKING OUT ten times more because of this gym!

First off, MOSTLY everyone is so fit in Aarhus, at least I think so! That was one thing I noticed right when I got here! Everyone is always wearing their workout sneakers, I am not sure if it is because they are going to the gym or if it is the fashion. Perhaps, a little bit of both.

The gym offers so many classes all the way from Body Fit, to Latin Mix, to Crossfit (Which I tried for the first time and it was intense) to Spinning to Circuit Training, Thai Bo, Flow Yoga, Power Up Pilates, Step Classes and the list continues.

I try to do a class every day and I am OBSESSED with them! It is so nice because the classes are full of boys and girls, and people of all ages! It is so motivating to see a variety of people in the classes!

Thats all.

Reflecting on my experiences.

After studying and living in Denmark for a few months now, I have learned so much about not only the culture and lifestyle of Aaruhs and Danes but about myself as well. Being out of my usual comfort zone and surrounded by new faces and friends from all around the world has benefited me positively. Surrounded by so many different cultures, it has inspired me to truly learn about each one. Being here has also truly made me see the full saying of “Appreciate what you have.” I am so grateful to have this opportunity. Studying in Denmark and coming here all by myself has made me mature into a whole new person with a whole new perspective and outlook on life and certain situations. Thanks study abroad :) :)

Well, I finally saw the famous Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen and was not too impressed. I am happy I saw it and experienced it but it was not what I was expecting at all. It was surrounded by a pleasing environment though!

Between me and you she looks like a seal :) What do you think?

I think I would rather watch the movie to be honest!

The best food I had in Barcelona was at a little place that seems hidden but has the most delicious food EVER. It is called Bo De B. My sister told me about this place when she studied abroad in Barcelona and now I am sharing it with you! They are known for their amazing sandwiches, salad platters and burritos. It is all so fresh and amazing! I would eat it all the time If I lived there!

Spotted: Street performer on La Ramblas. So cool and so talented!

This is Sagrada Família, a large roman catholic church in Barcelona. This was also part of Gaudi’s work. It is currently still under construction, even one hundred years later! Even though it is still unfinished, it still attracts 2.8 visitors a year. The construction will continue for at least another decade! It has already become Barcelona’s most important landmark. It is a sight worth seeing!!!

My whole life I have loved charactertures. I think they are the coolest thing! On La Ramblas, a main street of Barcelona, it was filled with people doing them along with painting many other beautiful things. I was amazed by how good they were and how talented the people were. It was breath taking to watch them paint people right in front of me at that exact moment!

These pictures are all from the gorgeous Park Güell in Barcelona! Park Güell is one of the most beautiful places in the city! It was built by the famous Antoni Gaudí and was built in the years 1900 to 1914. It is a huge garden with many fascinating sculptures and views to see! The park was very crowded because of how charming and enjoyable it is to walk around and observe every little thing!

The bottom picture was one of the coolest performers I have ever seen. I still do not know how he is doing that! Someone tried explaining to me that he has a metal rod in his pants or something but still, that is awesome!

It was a very peaceful and lovely place! If you ever find yourself in Barcelona, you must come here! You can stand on any part of the mountains and have a captivating view of the whole city.

For Easter Break, I traveled to Barcelona! It was so beautiful with so much to see and do! The weather was above 60 degrees and it was perfect! Denmark is still my second home but Barcelona is a great place to visit and spend time in!
